Cucumber Raita Recipe

A cooling Indian yogurt-based dip that is the perfect balance to your spicy dishes. This easy cucumber raita recipe makes a refreshing side to your Indian meal or snack!

Ingredients 

  • 1 medium cucumber, grated, ~1 cup
  • 1 cup yogurt, I used 0% greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon Indian black salt
  • ½ teaspoon sugar, (optional)
  • cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • ¼-1/2 cup water

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mix together grated cucumber, yogurt, cumin, black salt, sugar, and cilantro. Slowly add water and whisk until smooth. Add more water until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Adjust the salt and sugar based on your taste prefrence. Serve cold with your favorite Indian dish!
