Ingredients

  • 20-25 fresh mint leaves
  • ¼ cup hot water
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • 1 cup milk of choice, I used unsweetened soy milk
  • 1-2 teaspoons maple syrup

Instructions

  • Steep mint leaves in hot water for about 5-10 minutes.
  • Warm milk in microwave or on stovetop until just before boiling.
  • Remove mint leaves carefully from hot water by straining water into a teacup.
  • Add matcha powder. Use a matcha whisk or a hand held frother until well combined and frothy.
  • Add the warmed milk and maple syrup.
  • Froth the milk and combine well.
  • Enjoy warm!

Notes

If you want to enjoy this cold, skip warming the milk. When combined with the matcha, pour over a glass with ice and enjoy cold.
